Richard Romero, a native of New Iberia, has over 34 years of experience in sports and recreational management and education including various roles at the University of Arizona and University of Southern Mississippi.  Most recently Romero was Director of Parks and Recreation for the Broussard Sports Complex and City of Broussard.
